Since the time of Queen Victoria the Royal jewellery collection has been divided into those belonging to the State and those which are specifically the personal property of the Queen herself. Some of these she purchased herself and others were either inherited or presented to her during various occasions during her reign. The full collection has been estimated to be worth more than $57 million. The Cambridge and Delhi Dunbar Parure was inherited by her from her grandmother, Queen Mary. This set consists of a tiara, earings, bwedding, wedding jewelryrooch, stomacher, choker and bracelets, all featuring emeralds and diamonds.

The Queen has many other brooches, from the little ‘basket of flowers’ diamond brooch to The Flame Lily Diamond Brooch which was a 21st birthday present. Another diamond brooch, in the shape of ferns was a present received while on tour, along with another diamond brooch in white and yellow diamonds forming a spray of mimosa. A brooch with the centrepiece of a 23.6 carat pink diamond was given to her as a wedding present. The Queen of England has so much jewellery in her collection apart from the magnificent brooches and the parare, with rings and tiaras. Of all these, however, the Queen’s favourite piece of jewellery, which she is often seen wearing, is the double strand of pearls – not to be mistaken for the triple strand of pearls which she also wears frequently.
